Japanese artist Aya Takagi expresses the tensions of the world through swathes of colour, and the forces of hope by clearly modelled bodies. To create her unique universe she employs traditional techniques, concocting her oils from pigments and binding agents, emphasising the beauty of the materials and art of conservation. Following her exhibitions in Venice, Florence and the Taylor Foundations in Paris, the artist has chosen to express the vibrations of energy emanating from the bodies of these women to whom she dedicated her latest works
